So here we are, a couple of weeks out from the big day, the one you’ve been planning for since Labor Day, the one that brings the family together.
Thanksgiving? Don’t be ridiculous. I’m talking about that grand celebration of commerce, Black Friday!
Yes, of course Thanksgiving is more important, and we should rightfully celebrate it. But let’s face it, lots of folks blow right past it to get to the big bargains of the Christmas shopping season.
It’s a retail tradition by now. The lure of saving big bucks on big screens, barbecues and baubles even drives some folks to wait in line (or on line, depending on which part of the country you’re from) all night in front of closed shops.
My lovely bride and I have never camped out overnight, but we did get up early once to be among the first in line at a big box emporium (think bullseye). We excitedly scurried in, made our purchases and left.
We saved about $8 on some bowls. That was it. Whoop de do.
So we decided, for us, it wasn’t worth it. An increasing number of retailers and customers agree. Some retailers aren’t even open on Black Friday, giving employees and customers alike the opportunity to spend more time with family and friends and celebrate the blessings that have come their way over the year.
That includes Custom-Patches 4 Less. We’ll be closed on November 23, giving our staff a four-day weekend. We don’t need to offer you a Black Friday special.
See, we believe in giving you great value in our pricing every day of the year. So we don’t need to run “doorbuster” specials or any of that nonsense. We offer outstanding quality, unbeatable prices and terrific customer service every day, not just the day after Thanksgiving.
That’s not to say we don’t offer specials. While I can’t speak for our sales teams, we’ve been known to offer some extra great pricing on Cyber Monday (the Monday after Thanksgiving.) Check with us and see!
