One key factor to be aware of with PVC patches is that they cannot use an iron-on backing. The heat of an iron would melt the patch, possibly ruining not only the patch, but also the garment and the iron itself.
For that reason, PVC patches need to be sewn on or attached with Velcro® fasteners. With their waterproof durability and a Velcro backing, they make excellent morale patches.
