When it comes to music, I generally favor originals over cover version. But lately I’ve heard quite a few things that could change my mind about that.
Thanks to Spotify, Pandora, Tidal and other streaming services, it’s easier than ever before to discover new music. I’ve discovered plenty of great artists on Spotify that I otherwise might never have heard.
It’s easy to get started. A Discover Weekly playlist, based on what I’ve listened to previously, pops up on my control window, with a couple of dozen new songs. Granted, there are plenty of things on the list I’ve heard before, but inevitably a few new songs find their way into my permanent collection.
Quite a few of those can be cover versions. For example, I just went from a Dylan cover of a Beatles song, to a Natalie Merchant cover of Neal Young. Oh, and a detour to a Taj Mahal/Keb’ Mo’ cover of The Who in between. All sound great to my ears.
So what’s my point? Well, that it’s possible to appreciate a new take on a time-tested classic. With all the disruptions of traditional retail and marketing in the past year, maybe now is the time to take a new approach to marketing your brand.
Take custom patches. They’re a classic way to promote brands, logos and messages of all sorts. Why not put a new spin on your old patches with add-ons such as metallic or neon threads, added colors, a different shape or even a new patch style? Switch to PVC from embroidered – or vice versa. See which one gets more attention from customers.
Patches are a low cost, high impact way to get your brand or logo out in front of the public. Whether you use name patches for your employees, give away free patches at trade shows or sell them at your band’s concert venues, they’re a time-tested way to promote your cause.
That’s where we come in. We make it easy to order custom patches in just about any style, size and price range you can imagine. Get your name out there on custom mini-billboards for a price lower than you can imagine!
