Welcome to December! We’re less than a month away from putting 2021 in the rearview mirror.
It’s been a challenging year for many, and lots of folks won’t be sorry to see it go. The new year will bring its own challenges, of course. But for now, it’s time to celebrate the holidays, with family and friends.
It’s also a great time to see how your business or nonprofit’s marketing went this year. Did your mix of promotional products – including custom patches, we hope – live up to your expectations?
If not, now is the perfect time to consider new ideas. If you’re using patches as trade show giveaways, for example, think about changing the design. Add more color, more drama to your design. Bold, bright images catch the eye and capture the imagination.
Even with something as simple as employee name patches, there’s room for change. Consider adding a new color or two to the patch design, maybe even making it a little bit bigger.
You can even make some subtle changes to your logo itself. Why not add a simple stripe, a small star or other embellishment to be used just on the patches? You’re limited only by your own creativity.
If you’re skeptical that small changes can make a difference, think about major company logos. They don’t remain static forever. They get updated as the company evolves. There are plenty of examples of corporate logos that change with the times to modernize their image. And it’s often just something as small as changing a font, or moving an image a fraction of an inch.
Of course, there’s nothing wrong with keeping your patches just the way they are, if you’re happy with the results they’re getting for your brand. Plenty of organizations do just that and remain quite successful.
